Connor Bowman

Camp Co-director

A sophomore Computer Science and Business Analytics double major - and incoming co-captain - Connor was the first to take the initiative to start a summer gymnastics clinic here at William & Mary. Despite dealing with a season-ending back injury Connor has been instrumental to the planning and organizing process at every step along the way. Adding this to his two years of judging and coaching experience Connor has truly shown his passion for giving back to the sport that brought him to William & Mary.

Ahmir Postell

Coach

Ahmir, who hails from the nearby Virginia Beach, grew up with dreams of joining Tribe Gymnastics - and we’re glad to have him! Regularly competing on rings, high bar, and parallel bars, he has already made a huge difference to our team score. Beyond his talent for the sport, Ahmir is a dedicated coach - beginning early his first semester, he quickly developed a knack for it, and is as well-liked by his gymnasts as he is proficient at teaching them.

Finishing up his fifth year at William & Mary as a graduate student in the MSBA program, Zane has been passionate about coaching since he began at Turnz Gymnastics in his sophomore year of high school. With eight years of coaching experience at all ages and in two languages, he brings a unique perspective to the gym that is hard to find elsewhere. On top of this, Zane has been a nationally certified judge for three years, and in his 2019-20 season was team captain, the Tribe’s top point scorer on floor, and elected the ECAC’s Most Improved Gymnast.

A rising senior and incoming co-captain, Christian has been coaching since his freshman year of high school. Starting at his home of Preston Gymnastics Academy in Maryland, Christian transitioned his talent seamlessly into college where he’s coached at Williamsburg gymnastics consistently. Most recently, he’s been integral to the inception of Dominique Dawes’ new Gymnastics Academy in his hometown of Clarksburg. Alek Kuzmenchuk

Coach

Alek has had a remarkable impact to the team already in his first year at William & Mary. He was a staple on rings and high bar lineup, and with additional appearances on pommel horse and parallel bars, he set the bar high for rookie seasons with the Tribe. Beyond this, Alek is an invaluable teammate - always there to lend a hand, his tips in the gym are spot on. Alek has made sure to pass this insight to the younger generation of gymnasts, and has both coached and been nationally certified to judge since his junior year of high school.
